How It Works

Get Notarized in 8 Simple Steps

Remote Online Notarization is fast, legal, and secure. Here's exactly what to expect when you book with Rush Notary.

1
🔍

Select Your Service

Choose the type of document you need notarized. We offer vital records, city documents, Spanish-language sessions, and general document notarization — all at $25.

💡Not sure which to pick? Choose "Any Other Document" and we'll handle it.
2
📄

Upload Your Document

Securely upload your document (PDF format). Your file is encrypted in transit and only accessible to you and your assigned notary.

💡Make sure your document is complete before uploading — we cannot modify documents.
3
🪪

Upload Your ID

Upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, state ID). This is required for identity verification under Florida RON law.

💡Ensure the photo is clear, unobstructed, and shows all four corners of the ID.
4
📅

Pick a Time

Browse available appointment slots and pick one that works for you. Same-day appointments are often available. Sessions typically run 15 minutes.

💡We recommend booking at least 2 hours in advance to allow for ID verification processing.
5
💳

Pay & Confirm

Complete your $25 payment securely via credit or debit card. You'll receive an instant email confirmation with your appointment details.

💡All payments are processed securely via Stripe — we never store your card information.
6
🖥️

Join the Video Session

At your appointment time, join the secure video session from your computer, tablet, or phone. Your notary will guide you through the signing process.

💡Use Chrome or Firefox for the best experience. Test your camera and mic before joining.
7
🖊️

Sign & Notarize

Your notary will witness your electronic signature and apply their official digital seal. The entire session is recorded as required by Florida law.

💡The notary may ask you to verbally state your name and confirm the document is signed willingly.
8
📥

Download Your Document

After the session, you'll receive your notarized document by email. It's legally equivalent to an in-person notarized document and accepted everywhere.

💡Save a digital copy and print one for your records — the digital seal is verifiable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is a remote online notarization legally valid?

Yes. Florida Statute 117 authorizes Remote Online Notarization, and RON documents carry the same legal weight as in-person notarizations. They are accepted by courts, government agencies, financial institutions, and more.

Q: What ID do I need?

You'll need a valid, government-issued photo ID — such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID card. The ID must be current (not expired) and the photo must clearly show all four corners.

Q: What if I don't have a PDF?

You can easily convert most documents to PDF using your phone, a scanner app (like Adobe Scan or CamScanner), or your computer's print-to-PDF function.

Q: Can I use my phone?

Yes! You can join the video session and complete the entire process from your smartphone or tablet. We recommend using Chrome or Safari for the best experience.

Q: How long does the session take?

Most sessions take 10–20 minutes. Complex documents or multiple signers may take slightly longer. We block 15 minutes per appointment.

Q: Can I get service in Spanish?

Absolutely. We offer dedicated Spanish-language sessions — just select the "Sesión en Español" service when booking.

Q: What if something goes wrong during my session?

Our notaries are trained to handle technical issues. If a session cannot be completed, we'll reschedule you at no charge.
